In addition to its day-to-day business operations, Avine takes an active role in promoting equality and social well-being. Since 2017, the company has been committed to supporting various organizations that make a difference in the lives of many people, contributing to a fairer and solidary future. Ser Feliz is the social project of Obra Lumen de Evangelização. For over 20 years, Obra Lumen has been evangelizing, caring and loving those who are struggling with homelessness. With the maintenance of its activities solely through donations, everyone is invited to contribute and experience the joy of the Ser Feliz project.
In 1986, Bernardo Rosemeyer arrived in Brazil and in 2005, O Pequeno Nazareno launched the National Campaign “Criança não é de Rua”, with the aim of promoting a national policy for this population. The campaign grew and, in 2010, it became a national network with the participation of 600 organizations throughout Brazil, culminating in the creation of an international network that operates in 12 Latin American countries, the so called “RIDIAC”. Today, Pequeno Nazareno has a multidisciplinary service platform that includes education, social assistance and the defense of human rights, serving more than a thousand homeless children and adolescents every year.
